4 Tips for small Entry Halls

Entry-Halls-1

Das beherbergt nun all unsere trockenen Lebensmittel in schönen Glasgefäßen.

We have a super small, narrow entry hall and over all not much storage space in our appartement. But since the bebe is coming end of April and we havn’t found our dream house yet, we’re trying to build in more and more storage space. The good thing though, is that we have huge ceilings. These we can and want to use in the future.

We already use the space above the closets and bookshelfes in our master bedroom and office (which is going to be a shared office/nursery in the future).

We started our “storage project” some weeks ago in the kitchen, where we built in an open shelf above one of the worktops. This now holds all our dry pantry supplies in nice little glass jars.

Now we want to go ahead and use the ceiling space in our small entry hall as well. I think we know already what we want – maximum storage while losing as little daylight light as possible – but nethertheless I started collecting some more ideas on Pinterest.

My 4 tips for small entry halls

  • Go high
  • Keep it clear
  • Narrow it down – get everything out that you don’t need or dosn’t belong there
  • Be creative with what you have
