  • Alter: 6 Monate
  • Länge: 68 cm
  • Gewicht: 9,3 kg

  • Age: 6 Months

  • Weight: 9.3 kg/20.5 lbs

Of course I did not manage to get his 5 months update up in time. But oh well … exactly 1/2 year ago our little Theo was born.

So, the most important thing at first, since last Friday our Theodor has his first tooth. We saw this coming for the past four weeks. He sometimes cried suddenly out of no reason, there where days when he drooled a lot and the three nights, before the tooth was visible, where really restless. He woke up super often and rolled through the bed. Poor Bebe. This was the 5 months update…

He’s got two teeth now ;) und wait for it … He crawls very well since Thursday one week ago. We have to be very cautious now that’s why we’ve already rearranged our entire livingroom, so he has more space now. But we still have to hide things like the wifi router, because that damn thing blinks very “interestingly” ;)

He had his first stuffy nose, he has been with us on his first few days of holidays, he stands on all fours (knees) now and sometimes even on his toes, and he sits himself up on one side. We don’t have such a thing as a scheduled routine with certain times. I wouldn’t force anything on him. He sleeps whenever he wants, that’s about 1-2 times in the morning and one time in the afternoon. Around 6/9 pm he gets a little whiney, that’s when we know it’s time for bed :)

If we’re not on the go – he’ll be in the wrap on me, we havn’t used his stroller in 4 weeks we’ve now got the buggy attachment- during the day, he’ll play in our living room or in his bed in our office. He’s still very relaxed and I appreciate that a lot. He smiles at other people, he lets me carry him around in the wrap for hours and he’s just a very pleasent little person to be around!

Oh and on our last walks, I picked apples and since I carry him near me he keeps a close eye on everything I do. I tries to grab everything that gets near him, also these apples, which I’ll eat on our walks. I never would’ve thought it, but he licks these apples and keeps wanting more. That he likes these sour apples I would’ve never imagined. The other day he grabed a banana that I ate and I just had to mash up a piece for him ;) He really ate half a spoon. (By now we give him 1/3 of a mashed banana or some fruit mylk (coconut water + carrot juice + almond butter) he even tried smoothies, baked pumpkin, cucumber and avocados now) Not much but oh well. He’s just 5 month old. I don’t want to force any food on him yet, I’m sure that the breastfeeding and solids will merge at one point.

Natural Beauty Products: SBT Cell Life Activation Serum

dsc03529-kopie dsc03535-kopie dsc03538-kopie dsc03545-kopie dsc03549-kopie

I am not a cosmetic or product testing blogger and neither want it to be. But than and now I’d love to share beauty products that I like. But I want to keep it real and tell you exactly what I spent my own money on and what I got send for free. I also want to know this from other bloggers.

Flaconi sent me this  SBT Cell Life Activation Serum to try. The first thing that got me excited (and I wouldn’t have tried it if it wasn’t for that) was, that it has not been tested on animals. Flaconi specifically asked about that: “(…) you can tell the coustomer that this is an organic natutral product. Cell Life Serum is being made in the lab from pure and natural substances (minerals, antioxidants, micronutrients, vitamines, amino acids…). We don’t use any animal substances, parabenes or silicones. We do not test on animals to develop our products.”

I use the serum for four weeks now, it smells very nice (slightly clinical and clean) and I like to apply it under my BB Cream (in the morning) and under my hemp oil (at night). I think it lets my skin glow a little more. My beauty routine is very simple, I don’t like conventional cremes or extensive procedures, that’s why I like the serum a lot. Just add a few drops to your skin and done. And when others tell me that I don’t look like a mom of a 5 months old (which wakes me 3-6 times at night) and that my skin looks glowy and well rested, than I think the serum did it’s job ;P

(Huge thanks to Flaconi :)

Vegan Maulwurfkuchen (glutenfree, refined sugar free)

dsc_3739-kopie dsc_3733-kopie dsc_3737-kopie dsc_3743-kopie

Veganer Maulwurfkuchen (ohne Gluten, ohne Haushaltszucker)

Was du benötigst – für den Teig

  • 1,5 Tassen Buchweizenmehl
  • 1/2 Tasse Kakaopulver
  • 2 EL Backpulver
  • 1/2 Tasse Kokosblütenzucker, Ahornsirup oder Zuckerrübensirup
  • 1 Prise Salz
  • 1/3 Tasse Apfelmus
  • 1,5 Tassen Pflanzenmilch

Was du benötigst – für die Füllung

  • 2 Bananen
  • 50 g dunkle, kuhmichfreie Schokolade
  • 1 Dose Kokosnussmilch
  • 2 EL Kokosblütenzucker, Ahornsirup oder Zuckerrübensirup

Was du tun musst

  1. Stelle die Dose Kokosnussmilch über Nacht in den Kühlschrank.

I almost can’t believe that this is already the second blog post this week ;p It’s just rarely possible for me to do something in one sitting since Theodor was born. It feels like a lifetime to create, shoot and post a recipe.

But now on to the cake. Since my brother celebrated his birthday and he loves to eat Maulwurfkuchen (engl. mole cake – because it looks like a mole hill) I thought I bake him one. I looked at different vegan recipes and than just pieced my own together. Some called for refined sugar (which I don’t use) or other weird things. For this recipe though it’s vital to place the coconutmilk in the fridge over night. At the end I was impressed how easy it was, to create such an amazing cake. But eating three pieces was definitely not a good idea ;)

Vegan Maulwurfkuchen (gf, sf)

What you’ll need – for the dough

  • 1.5 cups buckwheat flour
  • 1/2 cups cacao powder
  • 2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar, maple syrup or sugar beet molasses
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup apple sauce
  • 1.5 cups plant milk

What you’ll need – for the filling

  • 2 bananas
  • 50 g/ 2 Tbsp dark dairy free chocolate
  • 1 can full fat coconut milk
  • 2 Tbsp coconut sugar, maple syrup or sugar beet molasses

What you’ll need to do

  1. Place the can of coconut milk in the fridge over night.
  2. With a fork mix the dry ingredients for the dough, than add the wet ones and combine well with the fork.
  3. Fill the dough in a coconut oil greased, round cake tin (about 10”) and bake the cake at 180°C/356°F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool completely after baking or otherwise the coconut cream will get runny again.
  4. Grate the dark chocolate with a grater into fine flakes.
  5. Take the can of coconut milk out of the fridge and spoon out the thick cream into a deep mixing bowl. You can keep the coconut water that’s left in the can for smoothies.
  6. With a mixer whip the cream for 1-2 minutes on high speed until it’s fluffy. Than add the coconut sugar (or maple syrup/sugar beet molasses) and chocolate flakes. Than place it in the fridge again for at least 15 minutes or until the cake is cooled.
  7. When the cake is cooled down, take a spoon and scrape the inside out until about 1cm / 0.4 inches are left of the bottom and the sides. Save the crumbs in a bowl.
  8. Now spread the whole bananas on the bottom, add the coconut whipped cream on top and sprinkle the crumbs over it.
  9. Place the cake in the fridge until it’s time to serve it, so that the cream will stay nice and firm.
